Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
Diversity Included (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information this website collects, why, and how we protect it. We follow Canada’s privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
When you use our contact form, we collect the information you choose to give us: your name, email address, phone number (optional), who the request is for, the service you’re interested in, and your message.
Like most websites, our hosting provider may also record basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and pages visited, for security and to keep the site running.
How we use it
- To respond to your request and arrange a consultation
- To keep the website secure and protect it from spam and abuse
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we never use what you send us through the contact form for advertising.
Please don’t share sensitive health details in the form
The contact form is for getting in touch, not for clinical information. Please keep your message brief. We’ll talk about the details privately during your consultation. Information shared as part of an assessment or coaching is handled separately, under the confidentiality standards of the social work profession.
The self-check
Our self-check works entirely in your web browser. Your answers and results are not sent to us, not stored on our website and not shared with anyone. When you close or refresh the page, they’re gone. If you choose to print or save your results, that copy stays with you.
Free tools and our newsletter
Our Disability Tax Credit quick-check and Focus Timer also work entirely in your browser. We don’t receive your answers. The focus timer may remember today’s session count in your own browser so it can show your progress; you can clear this at any time by clearing your browser data.
When you download a free resource, like the Dinky Daily Planner, we ask for your first name and email address and your consent to receive our newsletter (about once a month). We use this only to send you the resource and the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying “unsubscribe” or emailing info@diversityinc.ca, and we will remove you promptly. We may use a trusted email service, such as Hostinger Reach, to send the newsletter.
Spam protection (Google reCAPTCHA)
Our contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to tell people apart from bots. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information, such as device and browser data, and sends it to Google for analysis. Its use is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Who handles your information
We use trusted service providers to run this site: our website host (Hostinger), our email provider (Titan), Google reCAPTCHA and Google AdSense. These providers may store or process information outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.
Cookies
This site uses cookies needed for it to work and for reCAPTCHA spam protection. Our blog posts and Resources page also show ads, which use advertising cookies (see below).
Advertising
To help keep our free articles and resources available, our blog posts and Resources page show ads from Google AdSense. Ads do not appear on our assessment, contact or self-check pages. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can learn how Google uses this information in How Google uses information from sites that use its services, and you can turn off personalized ads at Google Ad Settings or YourAdChoices.ca. Showing an ad is not an endorsement by Diversity Included.
Links to other sites
Our site links to other websites, such as Amazon, Spotify, YouTube and community organizations. We aren’t responsible for their privacy practices, so please review their policies.
How long we keep it
We keep contact form messages only as long as we need them to respond to you and manage our services, and then delete them.
Your choices
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@diversityinc.ca and we’ll respond as soon as we can.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
